Where is Boom (WIB)

Since 2006, the group “Where is Boom?” has kept busy saluting the great French and international composers.  Their musical voyage extends from Charles Trenet to Claude Nougaro, passing through Serge Gainsbourg and Alain Souchon, but also Stevie Wonder, Sting, and, these days, Ray Charles.

These 4 musicians offer brilliant and unexpected readings of these great standards of popular music through the prism of jazz, funk, and world music.

In 2010, the group produced their first album, an homage to the French chanson,

“Les belles chansons” and are now preparing to record their second “live” album, a survey of the different repertories broached since the birth of the group.  You can find their afro version of Pierre Perret’s “Lili” on the   BLUES’UP #2 compilation.
