Danielle “Dani” Mendez is an upcoming songwriter, producer, and artist from New York /New Jersey. At the age of eight, Dani’s parents realized her ability to play piano by ear. Shortly after she began studying classical piano. As a shy fourteen year old, Dani gravitated towards composing and songwriting. While in high school, her instrumental compositions caught the attention of entertainment directors within the Atlantic City casinos, landing her the opportunity to perform within the casinos. During her college career at Fordham University, she continued to play within he tristate area and was featured as “a rising artist” within issues of The New York City Jazz Record and Hot House. In May 2014, Danielle won the Opera Center of America’s Young Composer’s Competition for her classical composition “Juan Rey.” Her composition was featured in a performance by the Adaskin String Trio at the NYC National Opera Center of America. While in college, Dani started becoming†more serious about music production which led to her working at Warner Bros. Records and Atlantic Records. Working at BLUES'UP studio (Hyères/France) on her first project along with other various projects. As an artist, her music fuses together elements of R&B, Soul, Jazz and Rock. As a producer Dani doesn't like to label her work with any specific genre; she just strives for it to be relatable and timeless!
